In Spanish, direct objects include:  LO, LA, LOS, and Las

Direct object Pronouns

 

What is a pronoun? A word that takes the place of a noun (person, place, thing, idea)

  1. Lo (him, it) masculine singular

  2. Los (them, it) masculine plural

  3. La (her, it) feminine singular

  4. Las (them,it) feminine plural

 

1) First, replace the direct object with (lo, la, los, las)

2) Second, place the pronoun BEFORE the verb.

  1. I walked (the dog) him

    1. Yo Camine (el perro).

    2. Yo lo camine.

  2. He listened to the teacher. Him / her

    1. El lo esucho.

    2. El escucho al profesor.

  3. We spoke the words. Them

    1. Nosotros hablamos (las palabras).

  • Lo, -- singular, masculine

Due at end of class: Replace the direct object with the direct object pronoun.

*Remember to place the direct object BEFORE the verb!
